Oxford Street Bulimba [& surrounds] in for a Top Retail Year: Ferry, Festivals Build Buzz: Oxford Street Bulimba [& just off] traders are poised for a bumper 2015 says Oxford Street Bulimba Marketing Director Nicole Hansson. Ms Hansson said despite slower than hoped Christmas trade after the Bulimba Ferry Terminal re-opening, the Bulimba Festival and Bulimba Fashion Festival were hoped to attract many to the district. “All are hosted … to positively engage our retail and wider community, and visitors come to enjoy our strong sense of community as well,” she said. “We are looking forward to the outcome of the Queensland state election on January 31, to find out who will be actively working in our best interests for our Bulimba electorate for the longer term and any new positives they will bring. “Now that the Bulimba Ferry Terminal has been upgraded and re-opened, we are looking forward to the vibrancy of Oxford Street Bulimba and our surrounds increasing mid-week as well.” She said a range of new international restaurants including French and American cuisine had added extra vibrancy to the area.
